Patient receiving personalized mental health care

A faster path, without the wait.

Traditional antidepressants can take weeks to work — if they work at all. For people in deep depression, or who’ve already cycled through medications without relief, that wait can feel impossible.

IM ketamine works differently. Instead of slowly adjusting brain chemistry, it acts on the brain’s glutamate system to rapidly encourage new connections — which is why many people feel a shift in days rather than weeks. IM delivers that treatment in the simplest way: a single, quick injection, with our clinical team monitoring you throughout. No IV line, no lengthy setup.

One injection. Fully supervised.

Ketamine has been used safely in medicine for decades. At lower doses than those used in anesthesia, it acts on the brain’s glutamate system to promote rapid neuroplasticity — helping reset circuits that depression has worn into place. Delivering it as an intramuscular injection makes the process quick and straightforward, while reaching the bloodstream nearly as completely as an IV.

Who It’s For

Ketamine (IM) may be right for you if…

  • You’ve tried one or more antidepressants and still struggle with depression
  • You need relief that works faster than traditional medication
  • You want the benefits of ketamine in the simplest form — without an IV
  • You’re looking for a more accessible, streamlined route, and can arrange a ride home

A consultation is the only way to know for sure. IM ketamine isn’t right for everyone — certain heart, blood-pressure, and psychiatric conditions, as well as pregnancy, need review first — which is why we always start with an evaluation.

Two routes, one goal.

Our solution comes in two treatment options. Both use related medication and share the same goal, helping relieve depression, with each delivered in a different way.

We'll help you find the option that's right for you.

Get Started

Straightforward about cost.

IM ketamine for depression is typically not covered by insurance, so it’s usually a self-pay treatment — though it’s often more affordable than IV because it’s simpler to deliver.

We’ll walk you through exact pricing and any payment or package options before you begin, with no surprises. If insurance coverage matters most to you, ask us about Spravato® treatment, which is more often covered.

Questions about getting started

Is ketamine safe?

Ketamine has a long, established safety record in medicine. At the low doses used for depression, and with our team monitoring you throughout in a supervised setting, it’s well-tolerated for most people. We screen carefully at your evaluation.

How is IM different from IV ketamine?

IM is a single injection — simpler and quicker, with no IV line — while IV is delivered through a drip that can be adjusted dose-by-dose in real time. Both reach the bloodstream effectively. IM is often more accessible; IV offers more precise dose control. We’ll help you decide which fits you.

Will I be “out of it”? Can I drive afterward?

Many people experience a dreamlike, dissociative state during the session — that’s normal and expected. You’ll rest afterward until you feel steady, and you’ll need someone to drive you home; you can’t drive yourself for the rest of the day.

How many sessions will I need?

IM ketamine is usually given as a short starting series, with maintenance sessions afterward as needed. We’ll map out your plan at your consultation.

Do I have to stop my current medication?

Usually not, but some medications interact with ketamine, so your clinician will review everything you take and guide any adjustments.

Is IM ketamine FDA-approved for depression?

Ketamine is FDA-approved as ananesthetic and is used off-label for depression — a common and well-established practice in psychiatry. Spravato® (esketamine) is the FDA-approved option specifically for treatmentresistant depression; ask us about it if that matters to you.

Do I need a referral?

No referral needed — just book a consultation to get started.
